The Brick Lane Book Group – since 2007
as heard on BBC Radio 4
It’s official, we’ve been chosen by TimeOut as one of the best book clubs in London.
Monthly on a Tuesday, 9pm at Brick Lane Book Shop, E1
Next meeting: Tuesday, 3rd April
Current book: Solar Bones by Mike McCormack
The Brick Lane Book Group meets every month on a Tuesday for a couple of sociable hours of drinks, music and literary conversation, in a chummy atmosphere. Bring your choice of tipple! We’ll be discussing the book we’ve all been reading, amongst other things. The ambit of this group is modern literary fiction, with occasional forays into other literary forms when the mood takes us. The Brick Lane Book Group is all about kicking back and finding a little headspace amongst like-minded folk.
Anyone with a genuine love of good books is welcome! Whichever book we’re reading, you’ll be able to get it for 15% less via Brick Lane Book Shop; come along regularly (the group meets once every three weeks) and you’ll get 15% off everything else in the shop too.
We meet at Brick Lane Book Shop, 166 Brick Lane, E1. If you’re thinking about attending, please email in advance to let us know to expect you. Or if you want to be kept in the loop, let us know via the contact form.

“I loved attending the Brick Lane book club and think it’s fantastic that it is so laid-back and there’s no attendance fee etc. It’s hard to find a Book Club which is not pretentious etc. and I think the Brick Lane book club gets it just about spot-on.” – Kayleigh
